How this website is built, and what to do if it does not work for you.
This website was built to be usable with a keyboard alone, with a screen reader, at high zoom levels and with the text resized. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every page works without JavaScript, including the enquiry form and the fact find.
- Colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Text meets the contrast ratios the guidelines set out.
- Headings are used in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
- Images carry alternative text, and decorative ones are hidden from screen readers.
- Animation respects the reduced motion setting in your operating system.
Where it may fall short
Articles imported from our news feed are written elsewhere, and we cannot guarantee the alternative text on every image in them. We correct these when we find them.
Telling us about a problem
If something on this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Email or ring us on the numbers on the contact page and describe what you were trying to do. We will fix what we can and find another way to help you in the meantime.
